[Pyrrha has never experienced such a fervent kiss, but she returns it in kind, memorizing the feeling of Matt’s lips moving against her’s. When such a person enters your life and changes it so completely - she feels like a part of her heart, she’ll leave with Matt, and she doesn’t want it back. She’d rather he kept it, even if it’s somewhat bittersweet.
Pyrrha hums against Matt’s mouth, teeth grazing his bottom lip when he curls his fingers into long fiery locks. Ask and thou shalt receive. She shifts, sliding onto Matt’s lap, bracketing him in against the couch with her thighs. She’s careful to hold her own bodyweight, not wanting to induce any pain while Matt was still recovering from the collapsed building, but it brings them closer, one of her hands settling over Matt’s heart.]
[ A soft groan escapes him when Pyrrha moves to straddle him, his head tilting up to hers. He'd like to stay as close as possible but he knows he's still recovering, muscles aching and skin tender. But none of it is as tender as his heart, breaking open for Pyrrha right now, allowing her in, in a way he doesn't allow many people.
His free hand slides to her hip, holding on as their lips part, their tongue touch, groans mingling in the heat of their mouths. When he pulls back, it's reluctant, only moving back a fraction as he keeps breathing against her lips. ]
[Matt does not have an aura - at least, not one that Pyrrha can recognize - but if he did she is absolutely certain it would be beautiful. Instead, she'll have to know him another way, and her free hand runs through Matt's hair, nails dragging gently along his scalp. They're embracing each other fully, a luxury Pyrrha doesn't have with many people - and Matt, even less so.
Pyrrha inhales a soft, shuddering breath when Matt pulls back, noses brushing. She smiles, letting her palm lay flat, over his heart. A steady thump-thump that almost feels like a battle drum.]
Only if it will not aggravate your injuries. [She steals another soft kiss from the corner of Matt's mouth.]
[ The smile on his lips is soft, gentle. His fingers trace the places and angles of her face, committing her to memory some more, an image that might not quite measure up to reality, but the best he can get. ]
I'm not fragile, Pyrrha. You won't injure me further, and I - [ He takes a deep breath, his heart beating a little erratically, which is not usual for him, and another proof of how much she affects him. ] - I want you.
[Sometimes Pyrrha wonders what Matt's mental picture of her is. She knows, once, she tried to describe the color of her hair, because he was curious - it's so long, never cut, only trimmed. A warrior tradition that's always been in the Nikos family. But she wonders, sometimes, what Matt's version of her looks like.]
No, not fragile. But you are recovering. [She smiles fondly, a slight shake of her head that lets her hair fall over her shoulder. Matt did have a tendency to bite off more than he could chew, but she leans in and kisses him again anyway, humming softly at the irregularity of his heart under her hand.] And I want you. [For as long as she could have him.]
[Pyrrha let her hands and mouth wander - her hands, the to hem of Matt's hoodie, her mouth, to the pulse of his neck.]
[ In his head, she is fiery. A halo of red around her silhouette that belies how gentle she is, inside. Callused fingers and big, bright eyes. Armor parts that hide soft curves, fitting right under his hands. He knows the angles of her face and can imagine the blush on her cheeks when they kiss, feeling the heat under his fingertips.
In his head, she is the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. And he's pretty sure if he could see, that wouldn't change.
He moves into her kiss, one hand slipping into her hair for a second, feeling silky strands against his fingers, before he pulls back, lifting his arms for her to take his hoodie off. ]
[Pyrrha curls her fingers in the fabric, which seems unexpectedly soft for such a simple item of clothing as a hoodie. She's careful with it, rolling it up in furls under her thumb as she lifts it off his chest and up, over his head. Her mouth follows the movement in the opposite direction, down Matt's neck to the dip of his collarbone.]
Mine. [The word is a soft whisper, fingers wandering, tracing over criss-crossing lines on Matt's chest. She spares a moment to lift her circlet from her head, letting her hair fall down in waves.
She stands, then, slides off Matt's lap and offers her hands, cheeks flushed and eyes bright. Perhaps, not everything was as it should be, but it was as close as they were going to get and Pyrrha would make the most of it.] Bed?
again sorry for the delay and also hapy new year <3
[ Matt would take every and any moment with Pyrrha he could get. This, or just sitting together, breathing the same air, sharing the same space. Just a few more moments to be alive together, to be making the most of the chance they have to be in the same world. It all feels fleeting, and it is, which is why it feels even more, her fingers in his skin, her mouth on his neck. He breathes harshly, swallowing down a noise when she pulls away. ]
Yes. [ He says, emphatically, hands grabbing hers with no hesitation whatsoever, seeing the shape of Pyrrha as clear as he can see anything.
It's cold in his apartment, so Matt pulls Pyrrha close, tugging on her hand before wrapping a hand around her waist, looking for all he's worth like he can see, himself. He walks them towards his bedroom, reaching out for another kiss, wanting the taste of her on his tongue. ]
no problem, school roundhouse kicked me in the teeth. Happy New Year!!
[She doesn't want to consider whether or not these heartbeats between them are limited. This, the gentle touches, the simple companionship - it's what carried her through her mission, to come back here. Being a real, out and about Huntress is far more difficult than Pyrrha had quite accepted, but now her cause was not so nebulous. Instead, she carried it right there, in her heart.
Pyrrha grins, genuine joy threatening to overtake her completely. Just - the giddiness that Matt was alive, battered but not broken - it carried her through, relief still majorly at the forefront. She squeezes his hand, falling into step next to Matt as they make their way into his bedroom. Her other hand wanders, tracing the edge of his jaw as he leans down to kiss her. If anything, the intensity is ramping as she finishes guiding them to Matt's bed.
Pyrrha pulls Matt on top of her, taking the brunt of the fall. Funny how it almost seems like a tactical move she's stolen from partnered battling, but it works, so hey. She chases his lips again, tongue darting out to sample that strange, sweet-spice she's come to associate with Matt and Matt alone.]
A welcome back like this, perhaps I should go off-world more often.
[ They tumble into his bed, Pyrrha guiding him to it, letting him touch her, letting him kiss her, like it's the last time. As soon as they're lying in bed, Pyrrha on top of him, there's a sudden urgency to his movements. Now, his hands grab more than caress, his kisses more intent. His legs spread around hers, a sigh on the tip of his tongue when she pulls away. ]
Or you could stay, and we could do this more than once every few months...
Ah, but then you wouldn't miss me. [Pyrrha runs her fingers through Matt's hair, taking in how long it's gotten since he's been holed up on his own. She kind of likes it, although clean-cut lawyer still suits him very well.] I hear that's the best part.
[She kisses him again, one hand reaching down to bundle up the hem of his t-shirt. It's the first time she'll see the damage the building had done, in full effect, and not the last time she'll wish her aura was strong enough to help him. As she carefully pulls his shirt up, her gauntlets unlock themselves - bits of her armor begin to disengage and drift to line up neatly next to the bed.]
[ He hums, fingertips creating her shape for him. ] I'd like to miss you a little less.
[ It's absolutely sincere, the words soft and genuine, and it shows in the way he responds to her kiss, too, a little intense, a hand moving up to cradle her face. He can hear the noises of her armor, and he still doesn't understand how it works because he can't see it in action, but he knows that soon she's be left with the scraps of protective underwear she wears underneath.
His stomach clenches as she pulls up his shirt, but he lets her, knowing the map of bruises and scars must be worrying. He breaks the kiss, giving her a little smile. ]
Only a little? [Pyrrha breathes her response against Matt's lips before they're kissing again, his bottom lip caught snugly between her's. She tries to pour every emotion she has into it, wanting Matt to understand.
Next comes the chestplate, laces and fastenings opening on their own, and Pyrrha's left in the loose, gold undershirt she wears, and her skirt. Matt's shirt comes up and off, and she has to break the kiss to pull it over his head - ] Oh.
[Her gasp is quiet, but given how close they are, she's sure it sounds loud (not to mention, well, super hearing).] How can it look worse? [Pyrrha's fingers skim the bruises and fresh scars, unendingly gentle as she moves along the planes of Matt's chest. To be fair, it's quite possible she's never seen such...total injury.] You are...so much more than you know, Matt.
